Joseph Cahill & Associates was founded in 1990 by Joseph J. Cahill, CLU, ChFC and Thomas J. Holmes, JD. From the beginning, Joseph Cahill & Associates was unique among tax preparation firms by offering comprehensive, high-quality services in both financial and tax disciplines. The goal was straightforward: Offer ethical, efficient, and effective answers to the tax, retirement, and risk management needs of our clients.
Word of the firm's guaranteed, convenient, and reasonably priced tax preparation quickly spread. In 1994, the firm upgraded to an office at 20 Court Street in Dedham, MA, where it still retains a branch today. In 2005, the company outgrew its space in Dedham and opened a new hub in Quincy. It soon spun off its investment business as WorthPartners, which is now a regional leader in financial services and insurance. The tax preparation business, then branded with WorthTax, continued to grow and, in 2007, the Company opened a branch office in Weymouth. Most recently, in order to better serve our clients, the firm made the decision to relocate our headquarters to 19 Assinippi Avenue, Norwell, Massachusetts.
Our Team
Because of our unique holistic planning philosophy, and in stark contrast with most tax preparation companies, the company retains a consistent, year-round staff, and is accessible to clients at any time of the year.

The Partners
Joseph J. Cahill | President, CLU, ChFC
Joseph J. Cahill is a Founder and President of Joseph Cahill & Associates / WorthTax. He has over 25 years experience in Public Accounting, Financial Management and Insurance. He is a member of the National Society of Tax Professionals and the National Society of Accountants. Mr. Cahill is a Notary Public for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC, 1998) and a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU, 1997). He holds a Bachelor's Degree from Suffolk University (1986) and has his FINRA Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and FINRA Series 24 (General Securities Principal) registrations.
Mr. Cahill is also a Partner of WorthPartners, Commonwealth Financial Network, a leading Financial Planning firm in the Boston area, based out of the same office as WorthTax. Joe has been serving individuals and families with their financial planning needs since 1991.
Alex Franch | BS EA
Mr. Franch is a Tax Specialist and Partner at Joseph Cahill & Associates / WorthTax. He has a diverse background including a Bachelor of Science from Boston College in Mathematics and extensive military service. Mr. Franch is an Enrolled Agent and has eight years of tax preparation experience. He has been serving individuals, families, and businesses for several years with tax and financial planning strategies and is a junior partner with the firm.
Mr. Franch is licensed by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) with a Series 6, 63, 65, and 7, and by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Division of Insurance.

Winnie Lee | BS
Chief Operations Manager and Comptroller
Ms. Lee is the company's Chief Operations Manager and Comptroller, performing all accounting, payment reconciliation, and billing issues. She has worked for Joseph Cahill & Associates / WorthTax for eight years.
Winnie graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems. Ms. Lee is also licensed by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) with a Series 7.
Kimberlee Fricker | BS
Director of Client Services
Mrs. Fricker has worked with Joseph Cahill & Associates / WorthTax for several years and has experience since 2008 in the financial industry.
As the Director of Client Services, she manages client relationships, including email, phone, and in-person communication. During tax season, she also provides guaranteed price quotes and e-files over 1,000 tax returns.
Mrs. Fricker has a bachelor's degree from Pfeiffer University. Mrs. Fricker is also licensed by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) with a Series 7, 66 and 99.

Ms. French has over 20 years experience in tax preparation and bookkeeping, including her years at Joseph Cahill & Associates / WorthTax. Connie graduated from Bunker Hill Community College with a degree in Accounting. She is a registered tax preparer.
John Clapp | EA, RTRP
Mr. Clapp recently joined the tax team at Joseph Cahill & Associates / WorthTax, and has experience since 2010 of tax preparation experience. Previously, he had a 30+ year career working in and managing statistical programs for the federal government.
John graduated from Worcester State College with a degree in economics, and is a registered tax preparer and an Enrolled Agent.
